The only thing I've seen come close at all would be Total Wine, a chain that runs from Virginia to Florida or so, but while their beer selection is about comparable, Party Source's liquor and wine selection is much much better and broader. Kentucky has very cheap sin taxes, booze and tobacco are cheap, and this store pretty much has it all, including their own custom bottlings of single barrels of bourbon from the distilleries a few hours south. Bet they do close to a million in the weekend or two before Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last article I saw was a few years ago and quoted them as grossing $40m in revenue a year. Not sure if that includes the cost of moving the giant levee or not, but they had to do that too. It's 80,000 square feet, so it's much bigger than most grocery stores, and it is only getting bigger, as they are in the process of constructing a microdistillery AND a microbrewery on site, each of which is running them several million dollars. ![]() Seriously, it's worth driving an hour out of your way to check it out if you're into booze and ever near Northern Kentucky or Cinci. I haven't tried any of these yet, but they're generally good sources.
